Internet Marketing for Small Business
For local businesses to survive, they will have to grab a larger share of local searchers than the competition.
The yellow pages clog landfills. If you are under 50, chances are you don’t read the local paper. Free, giveaway papers have cheap ads, but how many leads do you really get.
Getting local web surfers to walk through your door is different from traditional SEO. I don’t need the number 1 listing in Google for “pain clinic”, but I do want the first spot for “Tampa Pain Management” or “Sacramento Pain Center”.
A chiropractor may never rank #1 for “back pain”, but he could easily rank for “Richmond back pain specialist”.
Not every business needs local SEO, including:
* franchises
* formula stores
* mall shops
* big box stores
* national chain stores
Who needs specialized SEO to bring in customers?
* independent retailers
* health care – pain clinics, chiropractors, weight-loss clinics
* home related – maid services, plumbers, locksmiths, carpet cleaners, appliance repair
* services – auto repair, real estate agents, mortgage brokers, moving companies
* specialized attorneys like personal injury or traffic tickets
* specialized restaurants – vegan, for example
In short, any business an Internet user is likely to research online to find a vendor, but that product or service can only be delivered locally, can crush its competition by taking online marketing seriously.
DIY?
Internet Trap: Thousands of free internet blog hosting sites, article directories, social networking communities, social bookmarking sites, and more allows you to promote your business website free.
The question is, “Why would you want to?”
Companies like mine can do the work for you – and bring customers or clients to your door – faster and cheaper than you can do it yourself.
If time is money, no business can afford to research the local market, seize the top search terms being used by local web searchers, and create unique content to bring visitors directly to your company website.
Targeted visitors. Buyers. Not information junkies.
Recently, when my garage door opener was acting up, I didn’t look at a newspaper or in the yellow pages (don’t even know where the yp are, if we have them) to find a repair man. I looked online: “garage door repair Coral Springs”. Found one in seconds about a half mile away.
The point is, this garage door repair company would never have gotten may business by throwing away money on TV or newspaper ads. My garage door broke. I wanted it fixed now (as opposed to when I might have run across an ad), and the guy who popped up in a Google search was in my area.
To introduce world class SEO for local businesses, we created a media research and content creation company. You will see why in a moment.
What I am doing in this article is laying out a system as completely as I can to help local businesses thrive in a down economy.
* some business may do it themselves – hope I have helped
* many business will ignore the Internet in general and me in particular – hope your business survives
* hate to brag, but the smart ones will find out how to contact me and let me show them how this works – at no cost to you.
What could be better?
To bring local searchers to your business web page, we employ natural SEO and all “white-hat” techniques.
Before we begin preparing media content, we research and determine the exact phrases people in your area enter into the search engines to find your business in your area.
The base of our SEO efforts is a 500+ word article each month which you see and approve in advance. Each article has a resource box that drives visitors to your home page.
Instead of publishing the same article to thousands of low influence article directories, we manually “spin” the approved article so that each time your article is published, it is a unique article. No chance for duplicate content penalty or the dreaded “Google slap”.
A unique copy of your article will be submitted until it is published in at least 50 article directories. Not all articles are accepted by all directories.
Each published article 1s bookmarked in approximately 50 major social bookmarking and social networking sites – all linking back to your website.
A unique copy of your article will be submitted to a minimum of 25 blogs, community websites (Squidoo, Hubpages, etc.), and other resources. Copies of these published pages will be bookmarked as above and the links emailed to you.
After the first month, if the main content has not brought your site or articles to the first page of Google for your targeted search phrases, we will begin submitting your article to thousands of blogs and article directories at a rate of about 10 per day.
Note: If you are seeing new customers, clients, or patients at your door, I recommend waiting 30 to 90 days to re-energize your campaign. If you continue with our services, you will be republishing older articles to thousands of sites as new content targets additional search phrases.
We have found that “going deep” with unique content will not only give an immediate boost to your business, but the solid SEO nature of our techniques will drive new patients to your clinic for years to come.
